Woman, Soul, Spirit
An embodied experience of the Deep Feminine
Sometimes, as we move through life, we can lose connection with some deep and important aspect of our selves. These evenings offer an opportunity to reconnect with the deep Self and with the richness of our embodied creativity. Two stories will provide our maps for the journey. One is the story of Rio Abajo Río, The River Beneath The River; the unending stream of life force and creativity that flows in us all, just beneath the surface of our everyday awareness. Our other map comes from the story of La Loba, the Wolf Woman, who is also known as La Trapera, The Gatherer and La Huesera, The Bone Woman. It is La Loba, an aspect of the wise and ancient feminine, who gathers together those precious fragments that are in danger of being lost, and who sings over them, bringing them back into wholeness. The tools for our journey together come from myth and stories of the sacred feminine, movement, meditation and ceremony, as well as from personal reflection on our own individual stories. One of our evenings will be spent walking a candlelit labyrinth. Participants are required to commit to attending all 7 evenings, which will bring a sense of continuity to the group and enable us to create a safe and sacred space together. The evenings will be led by Jay Edge. Jay is a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist in private practise and an experienced group leader. Her workshops blend Psychosynthesis, Marion Woodman's BodySoul Rhythms, movement, simple artwork and guided meditation. Jay has worked extensively with the labyrinth, and trained and certified as a labyrinth facilitator at Chartres, an ancient pilgrimage site dedicated to Sacred Feminine.
